When Your Practice Needs Support

If your family law practice or team needs an experienced paralegal, I can help keep matters moving, clients informed, and deadlines on track without the overhead of a full-time hire.

You may not need another employee, but you do need someone reliable who can step in where the work is piling up, adapt to your existing systems, and provide steady follow-through when family law matters are moving quickly.

  • Drafts are waiting, and the list keeps growing
  • Clients need patient updates and clear next steps
  • A hearing or trial is coming up and prep needs to start
  • Financial disclosures need careful attention and review
  • Discovery needs organization and follow-up
  • You need experienced right-hand support without turning delegation into another management burden

What You Can Expect

My goal is to help you feel confident that details are being handled, next steps are confirmed, and nothing is quietly falling through the cracks.

Your systems stay in place

I adapt to your case management software, filing structure, email, and communication preferences so my work fits into the systems you already use.

Priorities are clarified early

At the start of each assignment, I make sure I understand the matter, timing, and attorney direction so the work can move forward efficiently and with fewer interruptions.

You know where things stand

You shouldn't have to wonder about the status of the work you assign. I'll keep you updated and flag anything that needs your attention.

Client communication is handled with care

Family law communication can be sensitive and time-consuming. I'm comfortable handling client-facing work with patience and discretion, while following your direction.

You get consistent attention

I keep my client roster small so that I have room to be responsive to the work I take on.

Potential Issues Are Flagged Early

My project management training shapes how I track deadlines and details. If I see a gap, delay, or unanswered question, I bring it up before it becomes a bigger problem.

What I Can Take Off Your Plate

I help with drafting, discovery, client communication, and case management across the life of a family law matter. Depending on what you need, I can assist with:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders, and correspondence
  • Discovery requests, responses, review, subpoenas, and follow-up
  • Trial and hearing preparation, exhibit organization, and trial binders
  • Financial disclosure preparation and organization
  • File organization and administrative support
  • Prospective client inquiries and intake
  • Correspondence and communication with clients, court staff, and other contacts
  • Case coordination and deadline tracking
  • Court filing support

Who This Is For

This works best for attorneys and practices that need reliable paralegal help without the cost or complexity of adding staff.

  • Solo attorneys, small family law practices, and family law teams looking for experienced virtual paralegal support
  • Attorneys whose caseload has grown beyond what they can comfortably manage alone
  • Practices that value organized communication, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through
  • Attorneys who care about quality and want a paralegal who integrates into the way they already work

About

Alexandria Brown, Freelance Family Law Paralegal

I have more than twelve years of legal support experience, primarily in boutique family law and estate planning practices in Massachusetts and South Carolina. My background includes drafting, discovery, financial disclosures, prospective client intake, case coordination, trial preparation, e-filing, and probate and estate administration support.

I help attorneys keep family law matters moving by bringing steady, detail-oriented support to work that can easily become overloaded. I'm careful with sensitive information and attentive to client communication. I also understand how quickly deadlines, documents, and client needs can pile up. My project management certification and organizing background help me track details, ask good questions, and keep work moving in a practical way.
